OPI Extra-va-vaganza!

After three weeks of constantly checking my mail box like a person with OCD, the nail polishes I ordered finally arrived at my door! After doing a celebratory dance and staring at the pretty bottles, I decided to put on Extrava-va-ganza! from the OPI Holiday 2010 Burlesque collection.

Extrava-va-ganza! is part of the glitter collection of the whole collection. It's densely packed together chunky glitter on clear base polish, dominated mostly by orange/copper and silver glitters. However, you can definitely see green, blue, yellow, pink/purple glitters peeking through the orange/silver glitter canopies!

This is my second OPI glitter polish after Catch Me in Your Net from the OPI 2010 Summer Flutter collection and I can definitely say that it's definitely a different kind of experience. I've always loved OPI's fine glitter, which has smooth dry finish without the aid of topcoat. However, this one... well, let's just say that I put on about three coats of top coat... and it's still rough! It's definitely a different type of glitters! So, be careful when scratching your itch when wearing this. The glitter makes the tip of your nails very gritty... and believe me, it hurts!

Anyway, pictured under the black pattern is three coats of Extrava-va-ganza and three layers of top coat. As you can see, it's still looks kinda bumpy. I was so tempted to slap on Nailene's Quick Gel Kit on it!

The removal was quite a pain as the problem with all glitter polishes! Glitters got on everything and everywhere... still, it's so pretty that I'd definitely wear it again despite the pain I went through to clean it!

... and I REALLY need to take care of my cuticle!
